most of our friends

were not trained in the school of emotion

it was inborn feeling caming from tradition

their sense of love was not born in a trice

it was there when mother sang lullabies

they lived their lives fully as it progressed

neither pleased nor were ever depressed

most moved very smoothly with the times

taking the good and bad in their stride

nevertheless they left their thoughts for posterity

whether their life was in  poverty or prosperity

they knew that in certainty time will spare no one

nothing is permanent and that feeling is welcome.
