ai and ethics

first of all, is that a correct heading? ai is after all artificial intelligence(or some would call it aggravated intelligence) but not real intelligence. ethics is a state of mind, a selection between right and wrong. and that requires real intelligence to understand the difference. AI is, after all, machine operated. it can learn and even extend intelligence but which direction it will take cannot be predicted. there is a big possibility that it takes decisions which are baleful.

man is wile and is insatiable to acquire wealth and/ or power --- absolute power. conscience is what can keep him back. and it is from conscience that ethics can arise. ai or not, concentration has to be on awakening conscience and the best way to do it is to lead dharmic life. and it is not negative like – do not tell a lie; do not steal; do not kill but it should be positive – do what is right. for that you have to build moral strength, spiritual strength. it need emotional energy and that can be either inherited or acquired at a very early age through parents and in the first few years at the school. it cannot be legislated nor achieved by paying it tribute in the company vision document or company mission document. but mutual consent can help. character is often caught not taught. religion helps but is seldom the deciding factor.
